A short video showed a small excerpt of the largest map in the entire game, and many fans are already excited about the atmosphere it creates.
Maps have always been a big topic of conversation in the Battlefield community, and Battlefield 6 is no exception. In particular, the size of the maps was a recurring theme during the two beta weekends. For many, the maps available to play there were simply too small.
However, as a leak has shown, it will probably not stay that way. In particular, a map called Mirak Valley promises a significantly larger battlefield and is said to be about four times larger than Siege of Cairo, the largest map in the beta. So far, however, only one screenshot of the map has been released.
Now, for the first time, there is video footage of Mirak Valley available – even if the size of the map is hardly apparent in it. After all, the video actually focuses on the new proximity mine:

Atmosphere like in World War I
The sheer size of Mirak Valley can only be guessed at from the scenes. At least the map seems to be quite flat and spacious, which is also clearly visible in the small excerpt. Fans are hoping that Mirak Valley will be a dream for tank drivers and that the vehicles that are so important for Battlefield will be the main focus here.
The second major factor is the atmosphere. Mirak Valley really looks like a war-torn battlefield. Black columns of smoke rise everywhere, houses lie in ruins, and the overcast sky further emphasizes the gloomy atmosphere. According to many fans in the comments, the last time the series looked this grim was in Battlefield 1, which was set during World War I.
Among various reposts on Reddit you always read the same thing:
“BF 1 vibes and I already love it.”
A screenshot also underscores the fact that Mirak Valley feels like it’s set after World War I. In addition to burnt trees, this image also shows a deep trench. The image actually looks like it comes straight from Battlefield 1:
That’s all there is to see of Mirak Valley so far. Mirak Valley was not yet playable on the BF Labs test server either. So it remains to be seen whether this large map will really fulfill the hopes of fans. So far, however, they seem satisfied with the visuals. And the mine also seems to be pretty cool.
