In Battlefield 6, players smash their drones with hammers, which has an unexpected but spectacular effect.

If you want to learn to fly in Battlefield 6, you don’t necessarily have to get into an aircraft; thanks to a bug, a drone will do the trick.

Helicopters and jets are often in high demand in Battlefield 6. As soon as they become available, a full-time pilot gets behind the controls, while most players remain on the ground. However, there are other ways to view the battlefield from lofty heights. The drone also takes you on a sightseeing flight, thanks to a bug.

Take off with a few hammer blows

We can only imagine how the bug was found. But once you know about it, it’s easy to trigger. All you need is a fellow player with a drone and a sledgehammer. Your colleague must place the drone on the ground, you stand directly above it and hit it with the hammer. Even though we don’t advocate violence against innocent drones, you will rise higher with each blow. Of course, it’s even faster if two of you swing the hammer:

Apes. Together. Strong.

Strictly speaking, this is an exploit, but the bug doesn’t really offer any significant advantage. That’s why it’s more of a source of amusement on Reddit, YouTube, and other platforms. While everyone agrees that the bug should be fixed, they’re happy to let others have fun with a classic Battlefield bug.

Incidentally, you can also do a lot of things with the drone in a completely legal way. In addition to its main purpose of scouting enemies, it can also destroy enemy gadgets. You can take out spawn points or enemy drones, but also detonate mines or C4. This is particularly effective when enemies are nearby and you can score a multi-kill.

If you want to give enemy tanks a hard time, it gets a little more complicated. You’ll need to equip C4 and attach the explosives to your drone, then fly it to a vehicle, switch to the detonator, and blow up the drone and the explosives.

Perhaps the drone can help to combat the landmine plague that is currently plaguing the servers. As you can read in the article above, the booby trap is currently causing problems for many tank drivers. As these examples show, Battlefield 6 currently needs bug fixes and balance improvements in some areas. However, since the developers are already actively asking for feedback, updates will probably not be too long in coming.
