A bug recently turned jets and helicopters in BF6 into flying targets with no means of defense. However, the bug is set to be fixed soon.

Good news for all pilots in Battlefield 6! Those who enjoy flying helicopters or jets are currently facing a particularly fatal problem. As we reported, the missile defense system is not working properly due to a bug.

The problem: Pilots are not warned as intended when a dangerous projectile is flying towards them. As a result, they have no chance of performing a life-saving counter-maneuver.

Bug has already been fixed internally and should soon be removed from the game

This is a frustrating exploit for many players, which apparently has not escaped the attention of developer DICE. Because, as Battlefield Bulletin on X reports, a fix will soon be implemented in the game:

According to this, the error has already been fixed internally, but cannot yet be corrected with the next update 1.1.1.0 coming next week. However, the bug is still expected to be removed from the live game soon.

The EA deal: Background on the new owners

In September 2025, it was announced that EA would be privatized and transferred to an investor consortium for around €47 billion. EA’s new owners include the Saudi Arabian sovereign wealth fund PIF and Affinity Partners, Jared Kushner’s investment firm. Saudi Arabia is accused of political and human rights repression, such as the persecution of activists and journalists. There is also deep-rooted discrimination against minorities. Freedom of expression is structurally suppressed. Jared Kushner, Donald Trump’s son-in-law, has repeatedly been criticized for dubious real estate deals, secret contacts with the Russian government, and allegations of corruption.
Kushner also maintains close contact with Saudi Crown Prince and PIF Chairman Mohammed bin Salman. The slight delay is probably due to the fact that there is a lot going on at Battlefield 6 at the moment. Season 1 is starting soon.
It promises new maps (Blackwell Oil Fields, Eastwood, Cold Stiff – Empire State), modes (4v4 tactical mode Attack Point, 8v8 destruction mode Sabotage, thematically appropriate winter event), as well as new vehicles, weapons, and more. Battlefield 6 turns its back on the futuristic scenario of its predecessor with a modern military setting and aims to bring back its old strengths. Added to this are the typical classes and impressive destruction physics. This time, there is also a Battle Royale mode, which is intended to compete with Warzone from rival Call of Duty. BF6 has been available for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series since October 10.
