According to new leaks, the appearance of the soldiers in the new Battlefield is very appealing to players – except for a few minor flaws.
Brand collaborations and costumes that would be too embarrassing for any bachelor party in downtown Duisburg – that’s exactly what fans didn’t want to see in Battlefield 6. Judging by the leaked skins, their wish will be granted – at least at release. Instead of colorful fabric, there’s camouflage in all its glory.
Battlefield 6 – Dress code: Modern Military
The leaks continue to bubble up from the Battlefield Labs test program. One of the latest discoveries is numerous skins for the operators in the new Battlefield. True to the setting, they all wear classic soldier uniforms.
Classic camouflage suits and helmets can be seen in green color variations for forests or sand-colored patterns for the desert, for example. There are also tactical vests, holsters, and matching helmets with visors. Each skin shows the outfit of a modern soldier for different areas of operation and purposes. Keep in mind, however, that the skins are placeholders and do not show the final look in the game.
A feast for the eyes
EA is winning over fans with the classic military look. “This is exactly what we asked for,” writes fdaneee_v2 and freaddan commented: ”Really nice. I love the look.”
However, the eye areas of some soldiers are amusing. As the placeholder markings suggest, some fine-tuning is still needed here.
“He’s been through a lot,” says abdess3 and SeanPhixion responds with:“It’s almost as if he’s been playing Battlefield 2042 for the last four years.”
Many players fear that Battlefield will go the same way as its competitor Call of Duty and rely on operator skins that don’t fit the setting with their bright colors and colorful effects. Battlefield 2042 already went in a similar, but not quite as extreme direction as CoD with crossover skins for Dead Space and Mass Effect. However, the leaked images give fans hope.
