For Season 7 of BF2042 there is first information: Two new maps await you. But Season 6 also has a few new features up its sleeve

The latest addition to the Battlefield series, (Battlefield 2042), is entering its third year. After a more than mixed start that fell short of expectations, the game has now developed into a solid part of the series – similar to its predecessor Battlefield 5, which also took its time.

The development team at DICE has now announced exciting news for the coming months: The seventh season is just around the corner and is set to launch in March 2024&nbsp.

What is already known about Season 7 of Battlefield 2042

What do we know about Season 7?  Details about the new season are still scarce, but a recent teaser teaser

published on X (formerly Twitter) promises a lot of content.

A highlight is likely to be two new maps, one of which is apparently set in Chile and will offer urban urban combat scenarios. You can see a first picture here:

Before Battlefield 2042 starts its seventh season in March, Season 6 will continue for around two more months – and will also get new and recurring content, which you can look up in the freshly published roadmap:

There are still two

  • January 30, 2024: Patch 6.3 is released, which will provide Season 6 with various quality-of-life improvements, including improved map rotations.
  • February 6, 2024: The Lunar New Year event starts and brings cosmetic rewards.
  • February 20, 2024: Patch 6.4 brings further Quality of Life improvements, and the Arkagel Directive Event and Control game mode return.
  • March 2024: Season 7 is unveiled and launches.

After a difficult start, it took DICE around a year to bring Battlefield 2042 to a technically acceptable state. In the meantime, however, Battlefield 2042 has developed into a rock-solid part of the series. Has the latest BF spin-off won your heart? Or are you more drawn to one of the old parts if you’re in the mood for unique Battlefield moments? Let us know in the comments!
