Battlefield 6 will soon be available as Battle Royale. According to insiders, the mode is set to be released via shadow drop in October.
It was only a matter of time, but now it seems to be happening: Battlefield 6 is jumping on the Battle Royale bandwagon! There is no official launch date for the mode yet, but several insiders assure us that it will only be a few more days. They even mention a specific date.
The mode is set to be released on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at least according to insiders.
Who is making this claim?
Two well-known insiders have independently confirmed on X that they have information that the BR mode is scheduled to be released at the end of October.
First, there’s ModernWarzone: He announced on X that, according to dataminers, a content drop codenamed Granite
will be released on October 28. nbsp;I think it’s safe to say that BF6 is Battle Royale.
On the other hand, Tom Henderson also confirmed on X: I can independently verify that Battlefield 6 Battle Royale is indeed scheduled to be released via shadowdrop on October 28.
I can now independently verify that Battlefield 6 Battle Royale is indeed planned to shadowdrop on October 28th.

Both have published several accurate predictions about various games over the past few years, so it’s quite likely that they are correct in this case as well. Nevertheless, as always with unofficial statements, a pinch of skepticism is appropriate, as EA and Dice could still change their plans quietly and secretly at short notice.
What’s in Battle Royale mode?
Here, too, clear information is extremely scarce; even Henderson and ModernWarzone have not made any clear statements about how the game mode is structured. However, it seems likely that the mode will be perceived separately from Battlefield 6, similar to how Warzone was from Modern Warfare.
In other words, Battle Royale mode will likely be free to play. Admittedly, this is still largely speculation, so all information is subject to change. But we won’t have to wait much longer to find out more.
The comments reflect a mixed mood: some are looking forward to more content, while others fear that the developers will shift their focus and soon neglect the main game. What do you think? Are you looking forward to the Battle Royale mode, or are you skeptical about it? Feel free to write your thoughts in the comments!
