Defib kills are as much a part of Battlefield history as Jeeps and C4 – and they’re back in BF 6: the true combat medics.
Who needs bullets and rockets when a little electricity is enough for a decent kill streak? On Reddit, a player shares a clip of a friend who returns to the shooter series after a decade and apparently feels right at home in Battlefield 6.
Defib kills: A Battlefield tradition
Reddit user mik2key shares a clip of a friend who goes on a killing spree on the Siege of Cairo map – and all with just the defibrillator from the support class.
To save you from reading half of the 1,200 comments: No, these are not bots. The names of the unfortunate victims can be seen in the kill feed next to the crosshairs. Bots in Battlefield 6 always have a rank and “AI” in their name.
Admittedly, it seems likely that the opponents in the clip don’t notice for a good 20 seconds that they and their ilk are being defused one after the other. It was definitely not their finest hour.
Incidentally, the ability to not only revive players with a defibrillator, but also eliminate them, has been around since 2005, or more precisely since Battlefield 2. So this type of kill is a tradition in the series, just like loading Jeeps with C4 and driving them into enemy ranks.
What the players say
“We have a legend among us,” jokes Youfokinwatm8 and ShaKobeBrobie notes: ”A true veteran.”. Also Linkshell_Studios recognizes an experienced player: ”That guy was definitely a problem in Bad Company 2.”
FineGamer believes that this is the ”Battlefield way“ to play, and CzarChowsky commented: ”I don’t even play Battlefield, but that’s hilarious.”
If you’re thinking you’d like to give your opponents the cardio treatment in Battlefield, we have good news for you. Starting Thursday, you can run through the second open beta of Battlefield 6 for four whole days and shock other players to death.
