Nara Studio has released the first official trailer for Wonderful Neoran Valley. Troy Baker and Ben Starr voice Knight and Iris, and the game is now available on Steam’s wishlist.
Nara Studio has released the first official trailer for Wonderful Neoran Valley, the creature collector game that raised over 900,000 euros on Kickstarter. The game has been available for addition to the Steam wishlist since October 27, 2026.
The trailer offers the first look at the revamped visuals of this monster-collecting rogue-lite project. An initial preview was released when the Kickstarter campaign launched, but the studio has since changed several aspects of the game. The new video features gameplay footage and cutscenes. It confirms the high-profile voice cast, which was funded by the Kickstarter stretch goals that were achieved: Troy Baker lends his voice to the protagonist, Knight, while Ben Starr—known for his roles as Verso in *Clair Obscur: Expedition 33* and Clive Rosfield in *Final Fantasy 16*—voices his companion, Iris.
According to GameRant, the stretch goals have also secured ports for Nintendo Switch 2 and PlayStation 5. On the Steam store, Wonderful Neoran Valley is currently listed only for Windows. The store page does not specify a price or release date.
About 85 collectible Neorans
Wonderful Neoran Valley is a story-driven monster-collecting game featuring around 85 collectible creatures called Neorans. These creatures combine animal-like forms with plant-like features and come in various sizes, abilities, and types; while evolution is confirmed, details are still pending.
In addition to the creatures, the team is incorporating horror elements into the game’s atmospheric and cozy overall vibe. In combat, players will be able to see the enemy’s next seven moves in advance and adjust their strategy accordingly, as confirmed by the Steam description.
As Nara Studio states: “The first chapter of the game is almost complete, and we’re nearing a full roster of Neorans for the finished game.”
According to GameRant, the release is scheduled for March 2028, provided development goes according to plan, though the Steam page simply lists “Coming soon.” Those who want to play sooner can back the Alpha Tester Package on Kickstarter.
