Pearl Abyss needs a little more time to put the finishing touches on the expansion. Players will have to wait until October 29 for the new adventures in Pywel.

Pearl Abyss has postponed the release of the “Charting the Unknown” DLC for the open-world action-adventure game Crimson Desert.

In a social media post, the studio announced that the DLC will be released two weeks later than planned: on October 29, 2026.

Two More Weeks of Development Time: Pearl Abyss Focuses on Polishing the Game

“We’re working hard on Crimson Desert Enhanced: Charting the Unknown to bring you new adventures in Pywel,” the team writes. “However, we still need a little more development time to deliver a truly polished and stable gaming experience. That’s why the DLC’s release is being pushed back by two weeks to October 29.”

“We know how eager many of you are to return to the game, and we sincerely apologize for the longer wait. We’ll use the extra time to put the finishing touches on the content and are working hard to ensure you get the best possible experience.”

The Open Sea, Sunken Ruins, and Housing: The Content of Charting the Unknown

In Charting the Unknown, you take command of your own ship and set sail to explore uncharted islands and uncover the secrets hidden behind familiar coastlines. There’s also plenty to discover beneath the surface: sunken ruins, valuable treasures, and long-forgotten secrets.

“But new dangers lurk both on land and on the high seas,” the description reads. “Mighty foes and dangerous challenges put players’ skills to the test. To survive some of the toughest battles yet, they must adapt their gear and tactics flexibly to every situation.”

At the same time, the DLC expands your options for building a home and a life of your own in Pywel. In the improved Living Mode, you can freely design your home and customize it to your personal style.
