The remastered cult classic from 1998 is set to release in September 2026 for PC and consoles. Nightdive is delivering 4K, 144 fps, and the original mission pack.

Nightdive Studios has announced the release date for SiN: Reloaded.

The remaster of the 1998 shooter will be released on September 24, 2026, for PC, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch.

If you pick up the Switch version and later want to upgrade to the Switch 2 version, you can do so for free.

Technical Revisions and Additional Content

For this re-release, the studio promises, among other things, revamped graphics with HD textures and new models. Resolutions up to 4K and frame rates up to 144 fps are supported. The shooter also features anti-aliasing, while 2D screens and the menu design have been modernized.

In addition to the original SiN, the SiN: Wages of Sin mission pack is also included. Nightdive mentions improvements to the maps throughout the entire game in this context. By the way, you can switch between the remastered graphics and the classic look from SiN Gold at any time.

In addition, there are tracks by Zak Belika remixed by Chris Mock, as well as exclusive behind-the-scenes footage.

Dystopian Plot and Interactive Game World

“SiN: Reloaded transports you to a dystopian world of the near future,” it says. “You take on the role of security consultant Colonel John R. Blade and face off against your arch-enemy, Doctor Elexis Sinclaire. The head of SinTEK Industries is flooding the streets with a DNA-altering drug. Now you must reevaluate your moral principles as you confront the villain’s unholy army of mutants.”

“Players and the press celebrated the original for its groundbreaking interactivity. You hack into computer terminals using DOS code, use elevators and surveillance cameras to wreak havoc, and race through the levels in a variety of vehicles. These include, among others, a forklift, a patrol boat, and even a helicopter. All your actions have real consequences. This opens up entirely new and alternative paths as the story unfolds.”
