Pocketpair is asking the Palworld community for ideas for Update 1.1. Instead of just small requests, fans have submitted more than 1,700 suggestions—including new continents and 20 additional levels. However, developer John “Bucky” Buckley makes it clear: A major update is not planned for the time being
With the launch of Palworld Version 1.0, Pocketpair is already looking ahead to the further development of the survival game. Just recently, the studio announced that thebrainstorming sessionfor Version 1.1 have begun. Lead publisher John “Bucky” Buckley therefore took to Xto the communityand asked for suggestions for upcoming content. His call was met with more than 1,700 responses.
Fans eagerly flooded the comments section
On Thursday, Buckley thanked players for the successful 1.0 launch and took the opportunity to provide a glimpse into future development. He encouraged fans to submit suggestions for upcoming content. The response was actually much more extensive than likely anticipated.
A day later, Buckley spoke up again and commented on the enormous number of suggestions, saying, “I really shot myself in the foot—1,700 comments later.” Apparently, many players didn’t interpret the invitation as a call for minor improvements, but instead immediately voiced their biggest wishes for Palworld.
Fan ideas far exceed the planned scope of the update
Among the ideas mentioned were, among other things, a completely new continent or a significant increase in the maximum level by 20 levels. According to Buckley, however, such large-scale projects are not on the agenda for the upcoming update.
“Things like ‘adding a new continent,’ ‘adding 20 more levels,’ and similarly large-scale projects aren’t really what we have in mind for Version 1.1,” explained the publisher lead. At the same time, he made it clear that the developers are certainly open to suggestions. However, a massive expansion that would take an entire year to develop is not planned for Version 1.1.
It can therefore be assumed that the upcoming update will be relatively small and will focus primarily on gameplay improvements. However, the release date for Update 1.1 has not yet been determined. It is therefore possible that the release is still several months away.
