Tempest Rising: One of the coolest C&C spin-offs is getting a story expansion, and the first missions are now available to play for free

The real-time strategy game Tempest Rising is getting its first story expansion, and with the new demo, you can try out the first two missions for free.

Since EA has been reviving the C&C brand exclusively for mobile games and remakes for some time now, several spiritual successors have emerged in recent years. One of the most interesting and well-known of these is the real-time strategy gameTempest Rising.Inour in-depth review, the game earned a solid score of 76 points.

Now, withThe Veti’s Wrath, it’s getting its first and only story expansion. And thanks to a new demo, you can even try it out for free.

What’s included in the expansion? The Veti’s Wrath features an extensive campaign with eleven new story missions. You must recover stolen technology and eliminate the corruption that threatens the very existence of your civilization. In this expansion, you’ll take on the role of the Veti, the third faction in Tempest Rising, and gain a new perspective on the ongoing war.

When is the release?There is no set date yet, but the story add-on is scheduled tobe released in 2026. No information on the price is available yet.

Developer Slipgate Ironworks and publisher Saber Interactive have released a new free demo to promote the expansionon Steam, which lets youtry out the first two missions of The Veti’s Wrath. You don’t need to own the main game to play the demo. So it’s also worth checking out for completely new players.
