Here’s an overview of all the week’s major new releases on Steam.

It’s a quiet week on Steam:Withthe big Summer Salein full swing and half the library on sale, hardly any publishers are daring to release full-price titles—after all, you’d rather spend your money on bargains right now.

There is one major exception, though, and it comes from a surprising source: of all studios, the one behind the horror hit Dead by Daylight is releasing a Star Wars game this week. The result, however, isn’t quite what you might expect.

As we do every Monday, we’ve rounded up all the major releases for you.

The highlight of the week: Monopoly: Star Wars Heroes vs. Villains

Genre: Digital board game |Developer: Behaviour Interactive |Release: June 30, 2026 (Steam)

When you hear that the creators ofDead by Daylightare developing a Star Wars game, many things come to mind—perhaps a dark, asymmetrical multiplayer game in which Darth Vader hunts down rebels through the dark corridors of the Death Star.

The reality is much more laid-back:Behaviour Interactive, together with publisher Ubisoft, is releasing a digital version of Monopoly.

Monopoly: Star Wars Heroes vs. Villains gives the classic board game a major overhaul. Instead of just haggling over the hotel on Castle Avenue, you’ll assemble teams from a total of 28 iconic characters: heroes like Luke Skywalker, Leia, and Han Solo on one side, and villains like Darth Vader, Darth Maul, and Emperor Palpatine on the other. Each character has a unique ability, and scattered across the game board are 22 locations from all Star Wars eras as small 3D dioramas, from the Ewok village to the Jedi Temple.

Games are played in 2v2 or 3v3 matches, either online or locally on the couch. If you land on an opponent’s space, a dice duel ensues, and so-called GO events occasionally turn the rules upside down.

    • Bugscraper: In this roguelite shooter, you fight your way floor by floor through an insect-infested skyscraper up to the office of the tyrannical boss—alone or in local co-op with up to four players. Each run, you’ll collect weapons and upgrades, probably die somewhere halfway up, and start your next attempt a little wiser. It has earned a great reputation over the past few months on itch.io and is now also available on Steam.

      • Ash of Gods: Tactics: Free-to-play for tactics fans: In the dark Ash of Gods universe, you’ll build your deck, purchase artifacts, and battle your way through 24 story battles across three difficulty levels—or compete against others on the PvP ladder.

      • Feed The Pit: In this first-person horror game, you roam through a cursed forest, talk to ghosts to track down corpses, and then throw your finds into the pit. You’re never alone: in each round, one of six different monsters hunts you down.

        • HYPERWIRED: A bullet-hell roguelike with a concept you haven’t seen very often. Your spaceship is tethered to a cable and has to plug into outlets regularly to recharge—but while doing so, you can only move within the radius of that cable. This pixelated space shooter draws its unique sense of tension from this tether mechanic.

        • Battle For Embolia(Early Access): To wrap up the weekend, here’s another free MMO from a solo developer.

        • Master Healer Kale with Useless Party: The title already gives away what this is all about. In this incremental RPG, you play a healer whose sole task is to somehow keep a thoroughly incompetent group of heroes alive.

Which of these titles still blows you away in a week when the Summer Sale is actually taking center stage? Or are you ignoring the new releases and instead snapping up the deals?
