Terran Armada, the second story DLC for Starfield, will be released on April 7, 2026. We won’t be able to play until the release date, but we’re working on delivering a review as soon as possible.
Starfieldis already three years old this year! But before Bethesda’s controversial space game celebrates its birthday, the second DLC, Terran Armada, and the big free lanes update will be released on April 7, 2026. Of course, we want to take a detailed look at both and put them through their paces for you. However, you won’t get our test right at the release; we’ll explain the plan to you.
When will there be a rating?
As with Shattered Space, the first Starfield expansion, we will only get access to the new content on release. That’s why we’ll start playing Terran Armada on April 7 at 5 pm. Depending on the size of the DLC, it may be a while before we have a full review with a rating.
But we will provide you with a first impression of Terran Armada on April 8th. In the course of this, we will alsoaddress the new features of the major free lanes updatewhich, among other things, provides the new travel speed with which we can explore space without a loading screen.
After that, we dive back into Starfield to give you two more things as quickly as possible:
- Afull review of Terran Armadaincluding a rating.
- Atest update for the main gameof Starfield, in which we incorporate the changes from all previous major updates.
What’s actually new for Starfield?
Bethesda has put together a big package of new content and improvements for Starfield for April 7. If you haven’t read our preview linked below, here’s a quick summary:
- The Free Lanes Update
- The travel speed at which we fly from planet to planet without a loading screen. New opportunities and dangers await us in space.
- X-Tech, a new currency/resource with which we can create legendary effects for weapons and make them even more powerful
- New buildings and items for outposts, such as a camp shared with all outposts, collectible action figures and a pet. There is also a space station in an asteroid as a new shelter.
- A new space station called Anchorpoint with new side quests
- A new ground vehicle
- New places to explore that can appear on planets
- Terran Armada
- A new quest series about the Terran Armada robot army
- Two new robotic companions
- New weapons and equipment
- Fully furnished houses for outposts
- New ships and ship parts
