The C&C community is giving Red Alert 3 its biggest update in 17 years.

Command & Camp; Conquer: Red Alert 3may not be the best C&C, but it’s the latest strategy game in the series that’s not being shunned by fans like a Tesla coil of infantry. The last official patch was in 2009, but the community continues to improve the game beyond that.

Recently, theCommunity Patch 1.12.8the biggest update for Red Alert 3 to date was released.

Community patch for Red Alert 3

A team of C&C fans has been working on the update for over seven years, and according to thepost on gamereplays.orgit has not been without its setbacks.

They are all the more proud of the community patch 1.12.8. While the previous update in 2017 only added a few improvements and new content to the game, there is so much more in the new release.

How to install the patch

If Red Alert 3 (without addons!) is installed on your PC, you simply need to download the .exefrom moddb.comand run it. Please note that some security programs may consider the application to be malicious, so you will need to whitelist it.

Important: If you have installed the patch, you will no longer be able to play the campaign, as the patch changes the game files too much. The update only improved the skirmish experience with players who have also installed the patch.
