Shortly before its release, the developers of Crimson Desert invited guests to a closed-door preview session. Now the game is generating a lot of excitement.

There are still about three weeks to go until the release of Crimson Desert, the huge open-world game that everyone is talking about and which is already on over two million Steam wish lists.

Because the developers have already shown an incredible number of elaborate mechanics and features, there are also plenty of doubts as to whether Crimson Desert will really be the hit it is shaping up to be.
Our colleague Peter at GameStar has already summarized why the game could still fail.
Now, content creators and members of the press have been able to explore the open world for six hours straight, and their initial reactions seem promising.

Enthusiasm and anticipation

Of course, these reactions should still be taken with a grain of salt: After all, Crimson Desert is supposed to be huge, and after 6 hours, you’ve probably only seen a fraction of the game.

Nevertheless, it is a good sign when people talk about the open-world game with so much enthusiasm. After all, it is probably the most comprehensive insight into Crimson Desert to date. So let’s take a look at what people are saying about this ambitious title:

Today I was in Amsterdam and tried out Crimson Desert for a total of six hours. Because of the embargo, I didn’t want to say anything, but since you keep asking me (lol)… yes, the game is real and damn awesome.

I had a great time […] Now I’m home, going to sleep, and not waking up until the game is released.

That sounds tempting, but of course we should still keep the hype in check until the test embargo is lifted. All content creators also emphasize that they are not actually allowed to reveal anything yet, which is why they limit themselves to one or two sentences. The same goes for us: We were also allowed to play and will report back to you in detail about our impressions next week.
