The former game director of the medieval masterpiece is now working on a movie. It’s no surprise that memes and opinions are immediately flooding in from the highly active community.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance as a movie? That’s supposed to become reality – however, we don’t yet know whether it will be an adaptation of the well-known story of Heinrich’s adventures or a spin-off. What is certain is that Daniel Vávra is leading the project. He was previously game director for the two medieval role-playing games from Warhorse Studios.
The film is scheduled to be released “in the coming years” and currently exists only as a draft script. Of course, that doesn’t stop fans from wildly speculating about the plot and cast. A small note from the editors: We accept no liability for any spontaneous headaches that some of the memes in this article may cause.
Chris Pratt as Henry, of course, who else?!
Who would play Henry? Excellent question, and the community is quick to offer up their ideas. The hot candidate for all the leading roles: Chris Pratt. Totally serious, of course, as is the suggestion that Ryan Gosling could please play the villain Istvan Toth:

“Chris Pratt would obviously be the obvious choice for Henry,” writes X user Rockpon.
Which is complete nonsense, of course. The cast of the KCD movie would actually have to look very different—Tom Holland, Zendaya, and Margot Robbie are clearly missing! This is what the perfect poster would look like:
Finally… the movie everyone has been asking for…

We suspect that it won’t be a direct retelling of the game’s story, if only because that would require establishing a canon, which Warhorse has always resisted. Heinrich is who we make him. Besides, there’s already a compilation of cutscenes from the game that’s basically a movie version. And Vávra kept emphasizing that he wanted to tell other stories too – so we’re throwing our hat into the spinoff ring.
Perhaps it will be the story of a younger Godwin who fought against the Turks in Kosovo. Or we might learn about Martin’s life in Prague and how he became a skilled swordsman. The possibilities are endless. But this is all just personal speculation, so don’t hold it against us if things turn out differently in the end.
