Animal Crossing Patch 3.0.1: Switch and Switch 2 receive new bug fixes

Nintendo has released another update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Version 3.0.1 is the game’s second update this year. The patch fixes several bugs that could occur on both the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2.

The update follows the launch of Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Switch 2 Edition, which was released last month. In addition to general bug fixes, patch 3.0.1 also includes two fixes that exclusively affect the Switch 2.

Patch 3.0.1 fixes several issues on Switch and Switch 2

Version 3.0.1 fixes several bugs that could affect gameplay and individual features. This includes an issue where the game could run significantly slower after leaving the island hotel and entering an outdoor area.

A bug has also been fixed with Resettti. When players used him to tidy up the island, fences that had already been stowed away or stored could suddenly change to other variants or even be duplicated. At the same time, certain tidied-up items could disappear.

In addition, minor bugs in everyday gameplay were fixed, such as with Timmy and Tommy in Nook’s Cranny or when collecting items from rocks.

Switch 2 receives extra fixes for clouds and vibration

In addition to the general adjustments, Patch 3.0.1 also includes two changes that only apply to the Nintendo Switch 2.

A graphics issue has also been fixed where clouds near the horizon on the island could appear misaligned. This made the sky look unnatural in certain situations.

In addition, the intensity of the controller vibration has been adjusted. The strength is now back to the level that players are familiar with from the classic Switch version.

Switch 2 Edition remains a paid upgrade

However, the Switch 2 Edition is still a paid upgrade for owners of the original Switch version. It was released last month.

Parallel to the launch, a free 3.0 update was also released, introducing new content and features for both versions.
