Ronald D. Moore, who has previously been responsible for series such as Star Trek: The Next Generation, Battlestar Galactica, and Outlander, is the showrunner, writer, and executive producer for the series.
What is the series about?
The live-action adaptation is based on the 2018 video game of the same name. After the death of his mother, Kratos and his son Atreus set out on a journey to the highest peak of Jötunheim. There, the two want to scatter Faye’s ashes.
On their journey, they encounter numerous dangers, but also new friends. However, Kratos’ relationship with his son is difficult, because while he tries to make Atreus a better god, Atreus just needs a father who is not quite so gruff.
What about season 2?
Amazon ordered two seasons right from the start, so you don’t have to worry about the series being canceled again. Of course, we don’t know what the sequel will be about yet.
Depending on where the plot of the first game in the series ends, season 2 could either continue this plot or take on that of God of War: Ragnarök. You’ll be treated to a seven-minute video at the end of this article, featuring all the times Kratos says “Boy!” to Atreus.
.
Now, of course, we have to ask you: Are you looking forward to the series? And how do you like the cast so far? Feel free to write your thoughts in the comments!
If there is any new, important information about the live-action adaptation, we will of course update this article regularly.
