The journey to Australia begins next month. We have all the info on the PC features of Death Stranding 2.

Sam Porter Bridges is lacing up his boots again, and this time PC gamers won’t have to wait years. As Jay Boor, Head of Publishing at Kojima Productions, confirmed today, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach will be released on PC on March 19, 2026.

Experts take over the PC technology

Hideo Kojima enlisted the help of real experts for the technical implementation of the PC version: Nixxes Software is responsible for the port. The studio is known for high-quality PC adaptations of Sony brands such as Spider-Man and Horizon Forbidden West.

Death Stranding 2 will support all common upscaling technologies at launch: These include NVIDIA’s DLSS, AMD’s FSR, and Intel Upscaler. Frame Generation is also on board to boost frame rates, which, according to the developers, will be “uncapped,” i.e., unlimited, anyway.

Those with compatible monitors can experience the game in ultrawide format. 21:9 (both in gameplay and cutscenes) is supported, as is the extremely wide 32:9 Super UltraWidescreen format, which is exclusive to PC. The resolution scales up to full 4K.

You also have a choice of controls: in addition to the controller, full mouse and keyboard support is also integrated.

An important detail for PC gamers concerns integration into the PlayStation ecosystem: Death Stranding 2 uses an overlay that grants access to your friends list, settings, and player profile. If you log in with your PlayStation account, you can unlock PlayStation trophies on your PC, which are synchronized with your console account.

Those who link their Steam or Epic account to the PlayStation Network will receive exclusive in-game items. These include special design patches for the backpack and a suit inspired by the colors of the PlayStation logo. However, a PSN account is not required.

The developers also announced new modes that will be available on both PC and PS5 right at launch. We’re still waiting for more details, but they should be coming next month.
