Theorycraft Games has announced that it will be shutting down the battle royale MOBA Supervive in a few months.

MOBA games such as League of Legends and battle royale games such as Fortnite have been on the market for many years and continue to hold their own as the most successful representatives of two extremely popular genres.

Theorycraft Games wanted a piece of this pie and released the ambitious free-to-play MOBA Supervive in July 2025. It combined the genre with battle royale elements in an attempt to stand out from the competition.

As the development studio has now admitted, the game has failed and Supervive is being discontinued with a heavy heart.

Fewer and fewer players

During beta testing in November 2024, Supervive recorded an impressive 48,000 concurrent players on Steam. At the full release in the end of October 2025, which is why the decision has now been made to draw a line under it.

Via Steam, Theorycraft announced that the servers will be shut down on February 26, 2026, at 2:00 a.m. From then on, the Free2Play title will no longer be playable.

The latest version of the game was recently released with Update 2.04. It includes several new skins that can now be used free of charge. There is also a new Extraction game mode in which you compete against each other in teams of six.

Until the shutdown in February, you can still play and download the game as normal. However, there will be no new updates and all real-money purchase options have been disabled.

What about purchases already made? All real-money purchases made since September 16, 2025, can be refunded until the server shutdown in February 2026 on the support page until the servers shut down in February 2026.

What about Theorycraft? Despite its failure, the development studio will not be closing and is now focusing on taking a new direction between indie and AAA.

However, no further information is available yet.
