The upcoming vampire role-playing game The Blood of Dawnwalker is gradually lifting the curtain: In the new gameplay video, the developers explain exactly how a mission works. Namely, it varies depending on whether the hero Coen is in his human or vampire form.
What we see here is strongly reminiscent of The Witcher 3 – no wonder, since former CD Projekt Red employees are involved. The combat system, on the other hand, overlaps with Kingdom Come: Deliverance, as Coen also attacks from different directions.
A unique feature is the time system. Certain quests and dialogues cause the in-game time to advance. This is important because Coen only has a few days to save his family. If he fails, it doesn’t automatically mean game over, but rather a different course of the story.
You can read more about this in our extensive preview of Dawnwalker.
The release date is not yet known, but the game is scheduled to be released in 2026 for PC and consoles.
