Spellcasters Chronicles is the new game from Quantic Dream, and it looks very different from what you might expect.

Quantic Dream has announced a new game: With Spellcasters Chronicles, the French studio, which was previously known primarily for its story-driven single-player titles, is breaking new ground—because this is a MOBA. Fans who had hoped for a sequel to Heavy Rain, Beyond: Two Souls, and Detroit: Become Human will therefore be disappointed.

In Spellcasters Chronicles, you instead throw yourself into fast-paced 3-on-3 battles with mage characters. The goal is to conquer parts of the map and destroy the opposing team’s life stones, much like in League of Legends. A closed beta is scheduled to start at the end of 2025 on Steam by the end of 2025. A release date has not yet been announced.
