Can Battlefield be played without kills? Yes, but with some frustrating limitations, as one Reddit user discovered.
In shooters, you naturally shoot – Battlefield 6 provides you with a large arsenal of different weapons for this purpose. However, Reddit user Tomalak_ decided not to touch a single one of them for a while. His “pacifist run” ends with impressive stats and a few frustrating insights.
2,500 revives and a few unfortunate slips
Tomalak_ wanted to find out how far he could get without firing a single shot. The answer after 2,500 revives and 17 hours of playtime: Level 34.
2,500 Revives. 4 Accidental Kills. 0 Shots in Anger. 0.006 K/D. My Battlefield 6 pacifist run ends here

According to his post, he did fire 5 shots with his M4A1, but these were accidental mouse clicks. However, his 662 deaths pushed his K/D down to 0.006.
Wait a minute, that’s still positive! Well spotted, he actually has four kills to his name. With the support class’s defibrillator, you can not only revive fallen teammates, but also kill enemies.
If, in the heat of battle, an enemy runs in front of your paddles while you’re trying to revive someone, the enemy gets hit – shocking, but true.
Too much of a good thing
With the completion of the final class challenge, it’s now “no more pacifism” for Tomalak. To complete this challenge, players must inflict a certain amount of gadget damage on opponents. Doing so without getting a kill is too exhausting, even for the Super Medic.
What frustrated him most, however, was that Medics hardly get any attention in the scoreboard. He explains:
A game with 0 kills and 0 deaths makes it look like you joined late, and there’s no way to show the dozens of revives you’ve managed while dodging bullets and explosions like a caffeine-fueled field nurse.
Incidentally, Tomalak_’s record is 85 revives in a single match of Battlefield 6. The developers expect 75 of these from all Supports if they want to complete the final class challenge.
All players in their squad would probably love to have such a dedicated medic. Maybe there would be more of them if they got a little more recognition.
