The realistic military shooter Arma Reforger has only offered multiplayer mode until now. However, two years after its release, a campaign has now been announced.
Arma Reforger is the latest installment in Bohemia Interactive’s realistic military shooter series. Since its full release in 2023, players have been enjoying multiplayer battles or diligently modding the game. Until now, there has been no official single-player campaign.
That is now changing, as content creators confirm after an event on Update 1.6 (via Dualshockers) . With this, Arma Reforger will get a campaign with five missions set on the new Kolguyev map.
The story follows American special forces who infiltrate a Soviet military complex on the island as part of a secret mission.
When will the story missions be released?
There is currently no specific release date for Update 1.6 with the single-player mode. First, Patch 1.5 has to find its way into the game. However, it is currently still being tested on the PBE server. So it may take a while before both updates make it from the test server to the live servers.
What is included in the campaign?

Incidentally, the new map is not entirely unknown. Kolguyev already made an appearance in Arma: Cold War Assault and is now returning free of charge for everyone with the campaign. Compared to before, however, the developers promise graphical and gameplay improvements, as well as new game modes on the map.
The terrain also stands out visually: the island is significantly frostier and barren than the other areas. The landscape is also strongly influenced by a dormant volcano in the center of the island, which even produces hot springs. There is also said to be a secret waiting for us underground—most likely the aforementioned secret Soviet base.
Arma Reforger is available for PC via Steam, as well as on PS5 and Xbox Series. If you’re interested in multiplayer battles with a realistic scenario, the experience is worth it even before the update.
