If you need a break from your busy everyday life, Epic has two games for you this week.

Like every Thursday, the Epic Games Store has one or two free games on offer. This week, you can get Kamaeru: A Frog Refuge and Strange Horticulture, two relaxing games for nature lovers. Get your gardening gloves out and put on your wellies. Let’s get started.

Kamaeru: A Frog Refuge

(Genre:Farming Sim – Developer: Humble Reeds – Release: June 2024)

Have you always wanted to build a refuge for cute frogs? Then Kamaeru: A Frog Refuge is the game for you. In this cozy farming sim, you can breed and raise hundreds of frogs.

To do this, you turn a barren swamp into the ultimate home for amphibians. You build ponds as living spaces for your frogs and sow native marsh plants.

Not only do they beautify the habitat, but they can also be harvested, processed, and sold. With the proceeds, you can further improve the frog sanctuary.

Furniture and other amenities make it even more comfortable for the frogs and also attract visitors. Kamaeru also includes several mini-games, such as frog breeding.

Strange Horticulture

(Genre: Puzzle game – Developer: Bad Viking – Release: January 2022)

A game for puzzle fans and plant lovers, in which you are the owner of a small herb farm. There, you will be drawn deeper and deeper into an occult mystery.

When you’re not in your shop serving a wide variety of customers, you’re out and about in the area looking for new plants.

This is a charming detective game with 2D graphics that lets you decipher and combine clues and presents you with some tricky puzzles.

Both Kamaeru: A Frog Refuge and Strange Horticulture are two entertaining cozy games for in between that let you immerse yourself in their own world for a few hours and play without any time pressure.
