In Minecraft, a player uses cows as a means of transport. However, he needs more than one hundred for this and also a boat. We explain what this is all about.
The Minecraft community is always good for a surprise. Whether it’s unusual mods, years of work on building projects or simply through bizarre discoveries. One particularly bizarre discovery was shared by reddit user oaleksander: “Cow Surfing” with a rowboat.
100 cows, a rowboat and wheat are all you need
Travelling in Minecraft often involves a lot of work. Of course, you can tame a horse to have a faithful companion by your side. Or you can lay tracks across half the map and travel to your destination on a trolley track. In both cases, however, you are always in control and can travel in a relatively relaxed manner.
It is less relaxed if you choose a herd of one hundred cows as your means of transport. After all, you cannot really determine the direction of the cows and you need a correspondingly large herd in advance. Once you have achieved this, however, all you need is a rowing boat and some wheat in your hand.
Then you herd the herd together, sit in the boat and take the wheat in your hand. Cows follow wheat in Minecraft, so you can at least partially show the herd the right way.
On reddit, oaleksander shows how the trick works and receives a lot of positive encouragement from the Minecraft community:

The comments consist mostly of word jokes using the English word “cow”. The top comment is a simple “Cowabunga!” – as a reference to the Ninja Turtles. There are numerous other word jokes in the thread and the Minecraft community is taking the action with humour:
