A new leak for Battlefield 6 reveals gigantic maps that show that the beta only revealed a fraction of the true scale.

Many of you have tried the open beta of Battlefield 6, and the discussions are heated. One of the loudest criticisms: the maps seemed unusually small for a Battlefield game.

This is where a leak has now given the all-clear, as it appears that the finished game will indeed feature the typical huge battles for which the series has become famous.

Dataminers reveal: The real battlefields are huge

Dataminers have extracted two previously undisclosed maps from the files of the official community portal Battlefield Labs.
One of them, Mirak Valley, is even one of the largest maps that will be available at launch. The map is set in Tajikistan, framed by massive mountain ranges with a riverbed as a natural clearing – perfect conditions for tank columns and possibly more than enough snipers, as already seen on Liberation Peak from the beta.

The second map, Eastwood, is planned for Season 1 after release and offers a completely different setting: an upscale residential area in California, complete with a golf course, mansion, and destroyed houses. In addition to classic military equipment, new vehicles such as a golf cart and a boat will also be available.

To make the dimensions more tangible, fans have superimposed the leaked renders on the beta map Siege of Cairo: Eastwood is more than twice as large, Mirak Valley even more than four times as large. This makes it clear that the beta did not even come close to showing us what to expect in terms of scale.

It is unclear whether DICE will make the larger maps available in a beta before release – this would be desirable to reassure the community. One thing is certain: Battlefield 6 will be a live service and will be regularly expanded with new maps, modes, and content after launch. You can find out which maps will be included at release in the overview linked above.
