Just a few days before its release on July 24, 2025, Tripwire Interactive has released the launch trailer for Killing Floor 3. The video shows the familiar zombie carnage, but the community’s reaction has been muted. The reason for this is the postponement of the original release date from March 25, 2025, by just four months.

Many fans in the YouTube comments are skeptical: “This game needed a year in the oven, not four months.” The fear is that the short delay won’t be enough to deliver a truly polished game. One user comments: “I’m afraid this won’t be the launch you’re looking forward to.”

On a positive note, Tripwire Interactive is listening to community feedback. Players who have tested the beta report improvements, but still see performance issues. They hope these will be fixed by launch and that additional content such as traditional weapons will follow later. Whether the extra development time will be enough remains to be seen when our review is published at launch.
