The main villain from Kingdom Come is now streaming himself and has a clear goal: to expose Henry as the real villain.

The voice actor who plays Istvan Toth is launching a KCD stream on Twitch. And he’s already sharing some exciting theories.

The next actor becomes a Kingdom Come streamer: If this continues, we’ll soon be able to watch a voice actor play every day of the week. Which is definitely not a complaint!

The newcomer is also the most experienced KCD veteran among the current streamers: Logan Hillier, who lent his face and voice to both games Sir Istvan Toth . In other words, Henry’s worst enemy (sorry, dear Markvart von Aulitz, but Istvan has mastered Henry’s worst nightmares).

Anyone who has always suspected that the good Lord Toth really only wants what’s best for Bohemia and is completely misunderstood anyway will have a lot of fun with the Twitch stream. Logan has long argued that Henry is the much worse villain, and now he’s gathering evidence to prove it.

Wait, how can Henry be evil?

Henry is clearly the hero of Kingdom Come, even if he can make some really brutal decisions. And Istvan is just a nasty, ruthless villain who is only interested in his own success – right?

On the surface, that might seem to be the case, but Logan argues that the situation is much more complex. Warhorse rarely, if ever, writes completely black-and-white stories, which is precisely what makes their games so appealing.

First of all, it’s important to note that Heinrich is telling the story from his point of view. At the beginning of the first part, he speaks a few lines as an older version of himself. This means that all events are automatically distorted by his worldview. So maybe Istvan wasn’t so evil after all?

One of Logan’s arguments is actually hard to dismiss: Heinrich ends significantly more lives on screen than Istvan, even if you play him very pacifistically. This is either because Istvan prefers to let others do the dirty work … Or does he ultimately have noble goals and try to save lives? After all, according to his own statement, he supports King Sigismund in order to protect Bohemia from the impending invasion of the Turks. Almost heroic.

In his first playthrough on Twitch (here as VOD), Logan immediately put forward a few important basic theories. For example, that the traveling sword master in Skalitz who trains Heinrich was sent by Istvan himself. Was someone trying to discreetly train a possible second Erik?

There are likely to be many more interesting stories to come – and it’s just incredibly funny to hear Istvan’s voice musing about picking nettles and turning it into a piece of wisdom. The stream also benefits from one of the funniest and most chaotic fan groups ever in the chat.

A very special community: The Evil Gang

Some of you are on Twitter and stumbled across Logan’s fan club, the infamous “Evil Gang.” There, of course, almost everyone shares the opinion that Heinrich is the real villain and Istvan is a really nice guy. For those who are not yet in the know, here is a brief cultural overview:

Evil Gang is the umbrella term for several splinter groups of very active fans – the exact constellations change too often for us to unravel them here. For now, it’s enough to know that they are mainly declared supporters of Logan/Istvan and the two actors Michael Pitthan (Sir Radzig alias Dadzig) and Jim High (Erik, Captain Thomas and various bandits). Sometimes they are a happy family, sometimes there are tragic divorces. Mostly the latter. For example, here between Istvan and Radzig:

The three voice actors are very active and directly engaged with their followers, both online and offline. Wild fan theories and lots of dark humor, spiced up with (presumably intentional, but who knows) “boomer slurs” make for a damn entertaining mix that has been enhancing my Twitter feed for several weeks now. I also recently had the pleasure of meeting some of the Evil Gang in Rattay in person, because of course they show up at most fan events.
They weren’t angry at all, quite the opposite!

I usually ignore the stream chats on Twitch, but in this case it’s really an enrichment. Together with the streaming program from Luke Dale (Hans Capon) and Tom McKay (Heinrich), the week is already pretty well filled with streams.
Luke Dale is currently going live at different times, Tom McKay on Thursdays from 3 p.m. our time. Logan Hillier is expected to continue streaming on Tuesdays from 2 p.m. Let’s see who else joins in the future! There are still a few days left in the week…
