This week, a long-awaited role-playing game is finally coming to Steam. Plus, there are several exciting releases you won’t want to miss!

This week, the new role-playing game Deltarune from Undertale creator Toby Fox is making its debut on Steam. But there’s also something new for strategy gamers, co-op fans, and shooter veterans. As always, we’ve got you covered with an overview: What Steam releases are coming your way this week?

Highlight of the week: Deltarune

(Genre: Role-playing game – Developer: Toby Fox – Release: June 4, 2025 (Steam)

Toby Fox, creator of indie hit Undertale, is finally back with a new role-playing game after seven years of development. Deltarune ties in with its predecessor in terms of atmosphere, but is not a direct sequel, rather a parallel world.

Fans have been waiting four years for the finished game after the first two chapters were released as a free preview. Now chapters 3 and 4 are being released together with a revised version of the previous story as a complete release.

What’s it about? In Deltarune, you’ll meet new characters as well as old friends from Undertale (albeit in new roles). You explore bizarre locations, engage in quirky dialogues, and gradually uncover the secrets of this unusual world. Despite its cute pixel art, the story doesn’t shy away from profound or emotional moments – something Undertale already mastered so well.

In terms of gameplay, much remains the same: The turn-based combat system is once again complemented by bullet hell elements, and you have to dodge enemy attacks in short skill-based sequences. At the same time, you again have the choice of whether to fight monsters or spare them, and your decisions influence the course of the story.

The whole thing is accompanied by the usual magnificent soundtrack penned by Toby Fox, which already has millions of views on YouTube Deltarune definitely has the potential to prove once again that great role-playing experiences don’t have to be graphically stunning.

  • Post-Apo Builder: Building game in an apocalyptic setting. After a global catastrophe, you build your own city from the ruins of the old world. • Dagger Directive (Early Access): Tactical shooter reminiscent of genre classics such as Ghost Recon and Operation Flashpoint. In three campaigns with a total of 15 missions, you assemble your special forces, plan your equipment and the timing of your mission, and then methodically take on your enemies in co-op or solo mode. Open combat ends fatally here; you will only succeed with stealth and clever strategy.

    • Rise of Industry 2: Complex Wi-Sim set in 1980s America. As aspiring industrial tycoons, you build factories and production lines, optimize supply chains, and develop new technologies. Your goal: outdo the competition and create a corporate empire that dominates entire regions.

    • Brawl To The West: A humorous auto battler set in the Wild West. You assemble a team of quirky heroes and monsters, equip them with magical weapons and gear, and let them automatically engage in tactical battles. The player who finds the best combinations and skillfully improves their team will gain the upper hand.

    • Moduwar (Early Access): In this strategy game, you control an alien creature named Modu, who is both your army and your base. By breeding and mutating different organs, you can change your abilities and adapt to new threats.

    • Truck World: Australia – First Haul: This truck simulation sends you to the other side of the world – at least as a free prologue. In First Haul, you complete your first big transport job in the Australian outback. You maneuver a heavy truck across endless dusty highways and battle your way through a fierce sandstorm.

      • Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma: The popular mix of action role-playing and life simulation enters the next round. This time, you find yourself in the Far Eastern-inspired realm of Azuma, where you take on hordes of monsters as a warrior with earth magic powers. But you also get to experience tranquil country life: You cultivate fields as the seasons change, help rebuild destroyed villages, and make friends (or start romances) with the inhabitants.

      • Parallel Experiment: Cooperative puzzle adventure for two players with an escape room feel. You find yourself in a mysterious experiment from which there seems to be no escape – unless you work together to figure it out.

      • Pro Cycling Manager 2025: The annual cycling management simulation is also hitting the starting line. As manager of your own professional cycling team, you recruit and train riders, put together race schedules and tactics, and intervene in the race – but from the support vehicle.
