Filming for the second season of Fallout has officially wrapped, which naturally raises the question: When will the new episodes premiere on Prime Video?
Are you eagerly awaiting the release of Fallout: Season 2? Then we have some good news for you: Amazon has officially announced that filming has now been completed.
The main actors are celebrating with a little peek behind the scenes. Ella Purnell and Walton Goggins . The actor who plays the ghoul must be damn glad to be able to leave his outrageously hot costume and makeup behind. (Yes, I am more than aware of the double meaning of that sentence.)

The production of the second season was plagued by a number of problems: After filming was moved from New Jersey, New York, and Utah to Los Angeles, work had to be interrupted in January 2025 due to the raging forest fires there. Instead of April, filming was now completed in May.
Release: When will season 2 of Fallout start on Prime Video?
Now, of course, the question is when Fallout fans can expect the new episodes to be released on Prime Video. Amazon has not yet commented on this, but we can make a confident prediction.
This is because post-production is now beginning, during which visual effects are created and the footage is edited into episodes. This process usually takes up to a year for TV series of this magnitude – which is exactly how long it took for season 1 of Fallout, for example.
This means that a release of season 2 of the Fallout series in spring to summer 2026 would be realistic. However, only time and an official announcement will tell whether this will actually happen.
Incidentally, season 2 of the Amazon series will be set in New Vegas – the setting of what is perhaps the best Fallout game. The finale of the first season made no secret of this, while leaks from the set have already given us a glimpse or two.
