Since Spanish development studio Alkimia Interactive released the demo for the upcoming Gothic Remake on Steam and GOG, the team has been inundated with feedback and requests from the community. The atmosphere of the demo was unanimously praised by players, but there was criticism of the clunky character movements and combat gameplay.

The team took this feedback to heart and released a patch for the demo today, May 9, This patch primarily revises the character movement and animations, but also adds new languages such as Chinese, Spanish, and Italian to the demo. You can read the full patch notes here—but you don’t have to, because the developers explain all the important changes in a new video.

An exact release date for the Gothic remake has not yet been announced, but we’re guessing it will be in late summer.
