Like every week, there is a game available for free on the Epic Games Store. The cat theme from last week continues. We’ll let you know if the title is worth it for you.

Like every Thursday, you can pick up a new free game from the Epic Games Store. The only requirement is a free Epic account. This week it is Cat Quest 2; last week the predecessor was given away. We will briefly introduce you to the title and explain whether it is worthwhile for you.

What is Cat Quest 2?

(Genre: Action-Adventure – Developer: The Gentlebros – Release:September 2019)

(Free to play )

Cat Quest 2 is a consistent further development of its predecessor. The open-world action adventure with 2D graphics offers even more weapons, brand new spells and practical comfort changes that will help you on your journey.

As brave cats, you go on an adventure alone or in local co-op to save the fantasy world of Felingard. Once again, war threatens to break out between dogs and cats, and you must reclaim the thrones of the two kings to prevent bloodshed.

You explore an idyllic overworld and gloomy dungeons, where traps, obstacles and monsters await you. To take a break from your main mission, you can take on side quests that tell additional stories from the world of dogs and cats.

Who will like this?If you played the prequel, you’ll most likely also enjoy this well-made sequel. Otherwise, you should have some enthusiasm for colorful fantasy worlds, cats, or hack-and-slash combat. If you’re not sure, take a look at the Steam reviews. Players give it a thumbs up 95 percent of the time.
