The PlayStation State of Play for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth took place last night. On the one hand, there was extensive gameplay to see. Square Enix also revealed the plan for the demo. This will offer new content in stages.

Square Enix shows in the State of Play for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth what they paid attention to during production. On the one hand, it is about preserving the core content of the original. On the other hand, it is about creating new content and adapting the title to modern circumstances.

Final Trailer & Deep Dive into Final Fantasy VII Rebirth

The final trailer for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth plays with the cinematic visual power of the game, shows us the unique regions with their dazzling NPCs and reveals various mini-games, both from the original and newly introduced. It also gives a first taste of the dramatic twists and turns of the plot.

In addition to the final trailer, there was also an extensive deep dive into Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. This went into detail about the soundtrack, graphics and various gameplay mechanics. The protagonists’ bonds of friendship play a central role. These can be strengthened through the numerous side quests and give you decisive advantages in battles. In combat situations, you can unlock new abilities by deepening relationships and leveling up Cloud’s comrades-in-arms. Find out more in the corresponding video.

The demo(s)

As of now the first part of the demo for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is available in the PlayStation Store available. This contains a flashback episode to the Nibelheim region and lets you play both Cloud and Sephiroth. This will be followed on February 21 by the release of the Junon episode, which lets you explore the region of the same name. In this episode you can get to know the world map and familiarize yourself with basic gameplay mechanics

On February 29 the title will finally be released exclusively for the PlayStation 5. You can get more insights into the game in the following overview.
