Streaming provider Netflix continues to stick to the anime course. After successes such as Cyberpunk: Edgerunners this is not surprising. With Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft, the next video game is now getting an anime adaptation.

- When is the series supposed to be released? Other than a “Comming Soon,” the trailer doesn’t give much away. But the official Twitter account of Tomb Raider already reveals a release date of 2024.

- Who is behind the series? The series is produced by Legendary Television and Tomb Raider developer Crystal Dynmacis. The studio responsible is Powerhouse Animation, which produced for Netflix, for example, the Castlevania anime .
- What is the series about? The Legend of Lara Croft is said to follow the storyline of Crystal Dynamics’ reboot trilogy and link it to the old Tomb Raider series.
- Which voice actors have already been announced? The English voice of Lara Croft will be provided by Marvel star Hayley Atwell. Other roles will include Earl Baylon as Jonah Maiava and Allen Maldonado as Zip.

The anime is said to connect the newer “Survivor Trilogy” and the “Legend Trilogy” that came before it. Tomb Raider, the 2013 reboot, features Lara Croft’s beginnings as an archaeologist, while in older games she is already a seasoned treasure hunter.
The character Jonah Maiava, for example, comes from the reboot. Tech expert Zip, on the other hand, last stood by Lara Croft’s side in Tomb Raider: Underworld (2009).

Netflix has already launched several successful anime adaptations of video games with Castlevania or Cyberpunk: Edgerunners and wants to continue this course.
