EA Sports will increase the price for FIFA Points.

EA Sports seems to increase the prices for FIFA Points. But while some regions will have to dig deeper into their pockets in the future, FIFA players in other regions seem to have their prices changed in their favour.

Price changes from 1 June

In a (Blog Post) EA announced that some price changes for FIFA Points will come into effect from June 1st The reason for this is “global, economic fluctuations “

According to the developers, the prices for the in-game currency will increase in some (as yet unnamed) regions, while other regions should notice price reductions.

While the affected regions have not yet been officially announced by EA, there are already early signs of price increases.

Which regions are affected so far?

While usually nobody complains about price reductions, the situation is quite different when prices for FIFA Points increase.

Accordingly, some players noticed the changed prices in the shop relatively quickly.

The Twitter account of the FIFA site (FUTBIN) for example shared the new prices for FIFA Points in Great Britain:

While 100 FIFA Points used to sell for £0.79 players will now have to pay £0.99

12,000 Points originally cost £79.99, but after the change users now have to pay £87.99 almost £10 more.

In Australia prices are also said to have already risen. (Twitch streamer CrispyTV) reports that 12,000 points there have so far cost 120 Australian dollars . In the meantime, the price had risen to $150

Furthermore, (New Zealand players) are also said to be affected by a steep rise in prices.

But so far the increased prices only seem to apply to PC and PlayStation. Xbox players will be spared, at least for now.

It is currently unknown whether prices for the Microsoft ecosystem will also increase. There is also no information about further price increases in other regions at this time.
