In early February, EA and Maxis announced the new expansion pack for The Sims 4. Grow Together lets you tell more exciting stories through new relationship building mechanics. The new trailer explains these mechanics.

With The Sims 4: Grow Together, Maxis introduces the new concept of social chemistry. So Sims who share similar interests will have “good chemistry” with each other upon first meeting. If they have rather opposite interests, the chemistry will not be right off the bat. However, this does not mean that you have to throw in the towel. Instead, you can deepen relationships so that two different Sims can still get along.

This is also made clear in the new gameplay trailer, which introduces the Hopewell Hills neighbourhood of San Sequoia and analyses the various relationship dynamics of the Michaelson family.

In addition to social chemistry, the gameplay trailer for The Sims 4: Growing Together also gets into the infant gameplay mechanics. So you will experience various first times with your youngest family members. These include the first rollover and the first steps.

Much of this will require a lot of attention from parents. So it doesn’t seem unlikely that older siblings will become jealous of the offspring.

The Sims 4: Growing Together will be released on March16 for all available platforms. You can check out the announcement in the following message . You can find more videos about the simulator on the official (YouTube channel).
