Roll17 and Private Division announce that Rollerdrome will be offered at a reduced price for its release. This will benefit gamers on Steam as well as PlayStation Plus subscribers.

On 16 August, we’re launching Roll17, an adrenaline-fuelled sport of the future. To celebrate the big release of Rollerdrome, the third-person shooter will be offered at an introductory price of 19.79 euros. With this price, the developers want to celebrate the era of the 1970s, which the title is based on with its retrofuturistic perspective.

The premiere offer ends on 29 August, so the title will subsequently be offered for 29.99 euros. This price also applies to anyone who does not have a PlayStation Plus subscription at the time of release. Those who are PlayStation Plus Premium members can start a game trial of the shooter until release. This is available for both PS4 and PS5.

If you want to get more insights into the development process, you can check out YouTube. Episode 1 of the Dev Diary is now available to view under the title “Flow & Level Design”.

With Rollerdrome, you can expect a shooter strapped on rollerblades that gives you a taste of the year 2030. The new sport called Rollerdrome is played in a large arena. The participants are equipped with firearms and skate across the floor on their rollerblades. Those who perform daring tricks and do not slow down receive ammunition to take out their opponents. Those who slow down instead make themselves the target of their opponents and are eliminated.

Rollerdrome was already announced during the PlayStation State of Play at the beginning of June.
