Supermassive already gave us a successful summer shocker with The Quarry. Now, together with Bandai Namco, the developer is heading for the season finale of The Dark Pictures Anthology with The Devil in Me. The story trailer takes us to a place to die for.

After House of Ashes sent us to the supernatural edge of a war zone, a true horror hotel now awaits us. Hotel owner Grantham Du’Met invites a camera crew to his accommodation so that a promotional film can be made to mark the grand opening. It soon turns out that this hotel has been modelled on the “Murder Castle”. This is a structure built by H.H. Holmes, America’s first serial killer. It seems that Du’Met is obsessed with Holmes’ work, which turns out to be a terrifying experience for the camera crew. They experience an eerie night from which there seems to be no escape.

With The Devil in Me, Supermassive Games ushers in the season finale of The Dark Pictures Anthology and lets us travel to a place that reminds many of well-known horror films. If you enjoyed Haunted Hill House and The Shining, this title will probably give you the creeps as well.
