More than a year has passed since the launch of Marvel’s Avengers. Despite this, Square Enix continues to diligently provide the service game with updates. Now, exclusively for Playstation owners, Spider-Man is to be added as a new hero on 30 November.

Patch 2.2. for Marvel’s Avengers will be released on November 30. As a new playable hero, Spider-Man will be introduced in a separate Hero Event “With Great Power”. Unfortunately, this is only for PS4 and PS5 owners. They have been looking forward to the playable friendly spider from the neighbourhood since the release of the superhero brawler in August 2020. Now developer Square Enix is finally delivering. Spider-Man has a unique moveset and web weapon arsenal with which he can actively support the Avengers on the new missions.
Players will experience Spider-Man’s story through unlockable challenges as part of the Avengers Initiative. Peter Parker learns of a deadly new threat and must team up with the Avengers to prevent AIM from getting their hands on technology that would make their Synthoid army unstoppable.

More feutures are announced
Also included in the patch will be the first real raid of Marvel’s Avengers. In Discordant Sound, four players will face off against the Wakanda villain Klaw to unlock the best equipment. The level cap is also raised from 150 to 175. These expansions to the main game will of course be available for free to all Marvel’s Avengers players from 30 November.
In addition to the Raid and Spider-Man as an additional hero, the update also includes several new and improved features:
- Deliveriesn – The Deliveries feature provides an all-new method of obtaining coveted resources, cosmetics and other items solely through gameplay – a frequently requested option by the Marvel’s Avengers community. Each delivery costs 500 units (the currency earned while playing) and draws from a trove of nearly 250 possible items, with a slim chance of a premium outfit not available any other way. However, luck is not necessarily required to obtain the outfit – it is automatically unlocked after 100 deliveries.
- Power Level Increase – The maximum achievable power level increases from 150 to 175. In order to get the best equipment, the hardest challenge of the game must be mastered – the new Klaw Raid: “Discord” for four players*.
- Equipment Upgrades – Higher power level equipment can be recycled, giving current equipment the power level of the consumed item, but with a few exceptions.
