Despite a strong performance, Kylian Mbabbé was not considered for TOTW 4. There may now be another top star in Week 5.

After the TOTW was compiled last time solely on the basis of performance at international level, everyone is now back in league action. Especially from the international top leagues like Bundesliga, Premier League and Co. we therefore expect some strong informs. Our prediction includes top stars like Erling Haaland and Roberto Firmino.

Prediction for TOTW 5

Top candidates for week 5

  • Erling Haaland (Borussia Dortmund, Norway) – 89
  • Serge Gnabry (Bayern Munich, Germany) – 86
  • Roberto Firmino (Liverpool FC, Brazil) – 86
  • Youri Tielemans (Leicester City, Belgium) – 85

With a 3-1 home win over Mainz 05 last Saturday, Borussia Dortmund now sit firmly in 2nd place in the Bundesligaa table. After Marco Reus opened the scoring in the third minute, Norwegian shooting star Erling Haaland added two more goals. These included a penalty in the 54th minute, which he took himself, and his final goal after an assist from Bellingham.

Only FC Bayern München is ahead of the Black and Yellows in the Bundesliga. Julian Nagelsmann’s team did their duty in the away duel against Bayer Leverkusen after a strong first half and won 1:5, with Serge Gnabry and Robert Lewandowski scoring two goals each. Both offensive men have a good chance of a place in TOTW 5.

Football fans on the island were also amazed on the last matchday. Jürgen Klopp and Liverpool Football Club sent their rivals from Watford to the cleaners with a 5-0 defeat. Roberto Firmino got the nod ahead of Diogo Jota. The Brazilian repaid the favour with three goals and an assist. Egypt’s Mohamed Salah also showed his current top form with a goal worth seeing and a strong game.

After the last two bumpy games, Cristiano Ronaldo finally wanted to get three important points in the championship race with Manchester United. Unfortunately for the Portuguese record-breaking player, Brendon Rodgers and his Leicester had completely different plans. After a thrilling final phase, the Foxes were able to prevail 4:2 in the end. Man of the match was the Belgian youngster Youri Tielemans, who scored the goal to make it 1:1 and cut a strong figure throughout the game.
