In Skyrim you can survive falls even from the highest heights, as long as someone else bleeds for it. This discovery by a player delights many fans.

Yes, Skyrim is now almost ten years old, but the fascination with the Bethesda role-playing game still seems to be there for many fans. For example, when old secrets about the treasure foxes are solved and someone poisons all the NPCs of the edge of heaven.

Murder protects against falling damage

Now, once again, a Skyrim player’s discovery caused a stir in the Reddit community when user Woebne shared his discovery in the forum: Apparently, fall damage in Skyrim can be completely prevented if someone else has to suffer for it.

How exactly does this work? In the compact video clip, Woebne is on top of a ruined tower. From above, he sees an unsuspecting bandit pass by, which the player in the Dark Brotherhood’s garb takes aim at – but not without saving again first.

With his heart in his left hand and a dagger in his right, Woebne now leaps towards the poor crook, who utters a final, innocent “Is anyone here?” before being stabbed in cold blood, but quite stylishly. And Woebne finds himself back on the ground completely unscathed. But best have a look for yourself:

Apparently killing people stops fall damage from skyrim

What just happened? The bottom line is that Woebne triggered Sykrim’s killcam at just the right moment: a fixed tracking shot that sets the stage for particularly epic moments of combat in the third-person view with extravagant animations. Meanwhile, the character is protected from all environmental influences so that the player can enjoy his bloody handiwork undisturbed.

The Skyrim community on Reddit is hailing the game with applause and amusement. Many commentators compare the action to Assassin’s Creed and Dishonored. The user therealsylstoat even notes that a comparable exploit can be used in Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas thanks to the V.A.T.S. system. According to GegenscheinZ, no wonder, since Skyrim’s killcams are based on the same code.

By the way, if you’re interested in what details make Skyrim one of the best Open Worlds of all time for Micha.

What about The Elder Scrolls 6?

Even though Skyrim was released a decade ago, The Elder Scrolls 6 will probably be a long time coming. No wonder, since Starfield has priority for Bethesda for the time being.
