The new free content for The Sims 4 is a treat for fans of the building mode. The update 1.8 gives you a lot of new content for the construction mode.

Do you remember the almost obscenely extensive furniture editor from The Sims 3? Where you could apply any colour combo you could think of to your furnishings with every pattern and material via slider? Yes, we miss it too. But The Sims 4 takes a step in the right direction with its new free update.

1,200 new variations for your items

The new free update contains no less than 1,200 predefined colour variations for your furnishings. You can get a foretaste of this in our picture gallery (screenshots by SimGuruBeth). The colour variations are available for 149 furniture and furnishing items of the base game. The update is available now.

On top of that, the career outfits have been revised. For all career levels there are now matching prefabricated work outfits, which also clearly emphasise your career advancement visually.

By the way, as inspiration for the new, more extensive building mode, we also have a list with the best building tutorials and ideas for your building projects. Be it the Witcher castle, a gingerbread house or a luxurious yacht.

Two new DLCs announced

The Sims is also getting going in terms of paid DLCs. Two new 5 euro kits have also been announced.
