The release of KONAMI’s eFootball Free2Play title has been officially announced. The simulation offers less than expected and yet something FIFA has been missing for years.

KONAMI is launching a Free2Play title this season against rival EA Sports. Until now, we only knew what the roadmap of eFootball (formerly: PES eFootball) looked like. Now we also finally know when the title will be available for everyone and what you can play at the beginning.

In a press release, KONAMI announced that the “release of eFootball 2022 with select game content will be on September 30, 2021.” What does the publisher mean by “selected content”?

This content is available to play on eFootball 2022 release

As already announced by KONAMI, the full scope of the game will not yet be available at the start of eFootball 2022. The release of the Free2Play title will include offline matches and online events.

Offline matches with selected teams

In the offline matches you will have the opportunity to play against the CPU (computer-controlled teams) or against friends. Nine teams are available for a match:

– FC Bayern Munich

– FC Barcelona

– Juventus Turin

– Manchester United

– Arsenal FC

– SC Corinthians Paulista

– CR Flamengo

– CA River Plate

– Sao Paolo FC

With a later update, nine teams will become 600 licensed teams. You can play your matches in six different stadiums at release:

– Allianz Arena

– Camp Nou

– Old Trafford

– Emirates Stadium

– Allianz Stadium

– eFootball Stadium

eFootball 2022 by KONAMI seems to be able to offer the community at least one thing that has not been available in FIFA by EA Sports since last year: a DEMO. However, there is another point to add that FIFA has not offered so far either.
